This year’s theme was Strengthening War Fighter Capabilities through Military/Industry Partnerships. Air Force IT Day is an annual one-day conference focused on issues and challenges facing the future of the Air Force. Senior leaders will describe the Air Force vision, current and evolving requirements, acquisition strategies, and potential opportunities for industry.

This program has offered an outstanding opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse challenges facing our Air Force and how IT/Cyber capabilities can play a major role in meeting those challenges. We had the opportunity to attend a power packed program of speakers who informed us about current events in Air Force IT/Cyber today and the Air Force’s vision with requirements for the future.

This was a rare opportunity to hear firsthand from distinguished Air Force leaders about their vision for the future, the shortfalls of their current capabilities, cyberspace warfare directions and requirements, their plans for executing the cyberspace mission, emerging technologies they need, their acquisition strategies, and specific programs of direct interest to IT/Cyber professionals.
