Description: Provide System Integration Engineering Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) C-130J Program and C-130J International Program Office to support the accomplishment of goals, objectives, and priorities associated with the organization. The mission is to acquire, to modify, and develop additional capabilities in regards to the C-130J platforms of the US Air Force and several other participating countries.

Responsibilities: The A&AS Support Contractor shall accomplish Software Engineering tasks as necessary to support day-to-day operations within the C-130J Program and C-130J International Program Office. They must comply with project-specific guidelines and work onsite at WPAFB.

  • Work independently performing the most complicated and technical tasks relevant to aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics.
  • Provide the capability to support the assigned tasks and lead support personnel in these tasks relevant to aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics.
  • Work independently or collaboratively as the mission requires with little direction and guidance.
  • Assist with producing or reviewing products that include the following: technical evaluations, engineering studies, reports, and analyses, and acquisition strategies and plans.
  • Analyze equipment and software deficiencies, make recommendations for equipment and software deficiency corrections, and develop, integrate, and test equipment and software deficiency solutions.
  • Assist the government in the engineering evaluation of prime and subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues such as: evaluations of Advance Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contractor Change Proposals (CCPs), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Bulletins, modification proposals, DMS, program risk, and related documents.
  • Participate at technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, and other meetings as required.
  • Provide the capability to utilize their knowledge of software engineering in support of the design, development, test, implementation, maintenance and administration of new and/or existing software systems.
  • Apply an understanding in systems acquisition, system and sub-system level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems test and evaluation.
Required:
  • More than 3 years of experience as an applications software developer
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and present oral presentations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline (preferably from an American Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited [www.abet.org] educational program).
  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
